Mia Yaguchi-Chow

Graphic Design & Project Lead

Toronto Metropolitan UNIVERSITY

Mia is a non-binary artist, photographer, designer, illustrator, and creative. After receiving their Bachelor of Design (Fashion) at Toronto Metropolitan University, they are currently pursuing their Master of Arts in Fashion at TMU, graphic designing for the Fashion Studies journal, working as a freelancer, and focusing on creative outlets on their own time. Mia’s research tends to gravitate towards gender identity and expression, embodiment, breaking boundaries in academic topics and methods, and philosophical frameworks involving existentialism and absurdism.

Mia enjoys creating work that cultivates space for discourse and dialogue. When they are not busy working, they are usually thinking about something that contributes to a future project, playing video games, drawing, or writing. Mia uses their artwork as a way to learn about and express themselves and wishes to make and contribute to positive change with their work.
