Alex Nora Esculapio
Dr Alex Nora Esculapio is a lecturer in Historical and Critical Studies for the BA (Hons) Fashion Business, BA (Hons) Textiles and Business and BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Business at University of Brighton, UK. Her research interests include historical and contemporary cultures of (un)sustainability, environmental history and humanities as well as queer ecologies. Parallel to her work in academia, Alex has also contributed as a writer and editor to several publications, including Vestoj: The Journal of Sartorial Matters, Fashion Projects and Viscose.
Annebella Pollen
Dr Annebella Pollen is Professor of Visual and Material Culture at University of Brighton, UK, where she researches histories of photography and dress. Her books on dress include Nudism in a Cold Climate (2021) and Dress History: New Directions in Theory and Practice (2015; co-edited with Charlotte Nicklas) as well as studies of childrenswear, secondhand clothes, dressing-up, dress in art, uniform, and dress reform for Jeunesse: Young People, Texts, Cultures; JOMEC: Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies; Textile History; Textile: Journal of Cloth and Culture; Uniform: Clothing and Discipline in the Modern World; Utopian Studies and Vestoj.
